Job Description - Payroll Specialist

POSITION TITLE: Specialist, Payroll
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt


POSITION OVERVIEW:


ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, Technology, Critical Infrastructure, and Engineering. ADB is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the corporate accounting team. This role is responsible for payroll preparation duties and administrative support tasks for the Payroll function, including but not limited to timesheet processing, employee data management, and reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, is highly organized and customer centric, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provides administrative support to the Payroll department

  • Serves as a point of escalation for complex inquiries and requests

  • Has full understanding of the HRIS/Payroll system with the ability transfer data, run reports and manage transactions

  • Assists with the overflow of timesheet, timecard, absences and vacation data entries, validating all data before exporting into the accounting system

  • Supports the integrity of the structure and maintenance of the electronic timekeeping system, including new hire setup, permission profiles, employee groups, pay codes and user roles

  • Process and review time to ensure complete and accurate payroll, generate direct deposits, and complete posting

  • Participate in and present at New Hire Orientation with payroll team

  • Complete employment verifications for team members with employment agreements

  • Track and process employee creditor garnishments to ensure timely responses and payments

  • Performs other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT:



  • Corporate headquarters is located at: 18777 US Highway 66 Pacific, MO 63069

  • This position operates out of a temperature-controlled office environment

  • This position may be required to use standard office equipment such as phones, computers, printers, etc.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:



  • 1-3+ years of Payroll experience required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required


The starting pay for this position is $20.00/hr. and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
