Job Description - Payroll Specialist
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE PAYROLL SPECIALIST
The Innovive Health Payroll team is centralized in Massachusetts and is excited to be adding a new member to the team! As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our weekly payroll utilizing Dayforce. On a daily basis, you'll work in the Dayforce system to enter, maintain, and process information such as employee compensation, time worked, paid time off (PTO), paid leave and holidays, deductions and tax withholding, and other pay-related information. Utilizing your knowledge and expertise of payroll reporting, you'll assist with the creation of reports in Dayforce to be used for analysis and identification of issues or trends. You and the team will also respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and will resolve discrepancies in alignment with company policies and regulations. You'll also get a chance to join your team in our headquarters in Medford, MA periodically for department meetings, town halls or company events!
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent in related work experience
7+years of payroll processing experience in a multi-entity or multi-state environment
Advanced Excel experience (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.)
In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws, payroll principles, and regulations with a focus on Massachusetts. Multi-state knowledge a plus.
Computer literate for functions of data entry and basic word processing
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus
Prior experience with Dayforce payroll platform
