The Corporate Payroll Specialist is a part time position supporting the processing of payroll to ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time. This position on our payroll team will be integrally involved in most aspects of processing weekly and biweekly payroll using our HRIS, UKG Pro.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
•Run and reconcile time sheet batch reports, reviewing for and following up on discrepancies, anomalies, and exceptions
•Complete payroll-related data entries
•Review, interpret and enter wage and garnishment orders
•Process payroll, reviewing for accuracy of information through each step of process
•Analyze trends for compensation, deductions and taxes to ensure reasonableness of processed payroll
•Finalize payroll and run reports
•Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with local HR
•Verify employee compensation and records as necessary
•Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures
•Maintain confidentiality of payroll related information
•Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the payroll process
•Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements:
•Certification or degree in related field preferred
•Proven experience processing payroll in a fast-paced organization, 3-5 years
•Strong attention to detail and communication skills
•Demonstrated ability to think critically and problem solve
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a working knowledge of Excel
•Experience with UKGPro HRIS highly preferred, including UTM, or comparable HRIS
