Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our clients team in a remote capacity, working on Eastern Standard Time. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently, particularly in a high-volume manual processing environment. Your experience with Lawson software will be crucial in ensuring seamless payroll operations.

Responsibilities include:

· Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

· Manage high-volume manual payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and reconciliations.

· Maintain employee records related to payroll, such as hours worked, deductions, and taxes.

· Address payroll inquiries from employees and provide excellent customer service.

· Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate payroll data and resolve any discrepancies.

· Stay updated with payroll laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.

· Utilize Lawson software or similar payroll systems to streamline processes and improve accuracy.

· Generate payroll reports and analyze data to support decision-making processes.

· Participate in payroll audits and contribute to process improvements to enhance payroll operations.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred).

· Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, with expertise in manual high-volume processing.

· Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.

· Experience using Lawson software or similar payroll systems is highly desirable.

Pay: $20-23hr.
