Payroll Specialist - Hiring Urgently

LHH Recruitment Solutions (fka Accounting Principals) is looking for a Payroll Specialist for a client of ours in the Akron, OH area. This position is responsible for processing payrolls, payroll taxes, and benefit payments.

Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll accurately using Ceridian Dayforce system, ensuring compliance.

• Approve self-service entries for direct deposit and tax withholdings.

• Manage support, garnishment deductions, and bonus plans efficiently.

• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues promptly.

• Maintain payroll documentation and records for audits.

• Provide training on Dayforce timekeeping to employees and managers.

• Ensure compliance with government regulations and surveys.

• Monitor and optimize payroll systems and procedures.

• Assist with special projects and support payroll coordinators.

• Oversee Company Car Programs, managing documentation and insurance claims efficiently.

• Coordinate insurance policy renewal and maintain policy documents.

• Update and maintain company car policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Ceridian is REQUIRED

• 4+ years of payroll processing experience

• Strong payroll tax background

• System implementation experience is a plus

 

Job Type: Temporary

Location: Akron, OH

Schedule: Flexible hours | Hybrid (4 days remote, 1 day in office)

Pay: $30 – 35/hr. (depending on experience)
