Job Description - Payroll/HR Specialist

Description

The Pedder Auto Group is looking for an HR/Payroll Specialist with experience in the automotive industry who has the ability to prioritize duties with time management skills and possesses a strong attention to detail. An immediate full-time position is available within our Hemet location in Riverside County.

The HR/Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing and issuing paychecks and administrative support of day-to-day Human Resources operations which include but are not limited to the following duties:

  • Prepares, processes, and issues paycheck for semi-monthly payrolls and terminations; which consist of compiling payroll data such as hours worked, salaries, commissions, taxes, garnishments, and other various mandatory and voluntary deductions and posts to payroll records.
  • Accurately updates and records all pay changes such as exemptions and insurance coverage and updates master record.
  • Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions, etc.
  • Compiles and prepares monthly, quarterly reports (gross payroll, hours worked, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management.
  • Performs various accounting journal entries, account reconciliation, and provides General Ledger support.
  • Correspond with employees, management, and corporate officers in response to questions or requests related to personnel.
  • Promotes high employee engagement in the dealership
  • Support employee and manager development as directed and aligned with the PAG standards  

Requirements

Experience: Previous automotive accounting experience is a primary requirement.

Job Type: Full-time
