Acara Solutions is looking to hire multiple PCBA Soldering/Rework Specialists to work with our partner in San Jose, CA. This is a TEMP TO PERM opportunity.
Compensation: $22 - $26/hr depending on experience
Shifts:
Swing Shift: 2:30pm-10:30/11:30pm
What you will do:
- The PCB Soldering & Rework Specialist will be responsible for reworking PCB assemblies and soldering as needed
- Responsible for soldering of fine-pitch surface mount and thru-hole components in a lead-free (RoHS) assembly line using a microscope
- Soldering of cable assemblies
- Regularly incorporating engineering change orders (ECO) on PCB assembles
- Assisting the manufacturing department in the electro-mechanical assembly of system-level products
- Perform simple SMT/thru-hole removal/replacement of components
- General electronics assembly as required (electro-mechanical)
- Maintain a clean rework area and perform set-up/maintenance
- Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance
- Ensure all manufacturing safety and regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and always maintained
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of active experience soldering in fine pitch SMT and through hold soldering
- Experience working with leadless components
- Knowledge of IPC Workmanship standards or certification in soldering
- Proficiency in utilizing soldering iron, hot-air machines, and microscope
- Experience in Electro-mechanical assembly
- Understanding of electronic component types and packaging (BGA, SOICS, RESISTERS, CAPACITOR Packages, etc)
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with prolonged sitting and working under a microscope
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience operating Wave Solder Equipment
- Experience operating PCBA Washing machine
