Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapist to join a facility in Malden, MA, on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat pediatric patients with developmental, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions, creating individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and independence. The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, and experienced in pediatric rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess pediatric patients’ functional abilities, motor development, and therapy needs.


• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s goals.


• Provide therapeutic interventions including strengthening, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility exercises.


• Educate families and caregivers on therapy strategies, home exercise programs, and adaptive techniques.


• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.


• Collaborate with physicians, teachers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care.


• Promote safety, independence, and developmental progress through evidence-based pediatric practices.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.


• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts.


• Minimum of 1 year of recent pediatric PT experience required.


• Current certification in Basic Life Support.


• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.


• Strong communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills.


• Compassionate, family-centered approach to pediatric therapy.
