Job Description - Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT or PTA)

ICAN is seeking a part time physical therapist (PT or PTA) to join our multidisciplinary team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing services to neurodiverse youth and excited to work in a collaborative environment.

Your Role:



  • Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and treating gross motor, gait, balance, and functional movement in children.

    • Our population consists of Autism (ASD), ADHD, language-based learning disorders, AAC users, motor speech disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, and developmental delays



  • Timely completion of documentation including daily SOAP notes, progress notes, initial and re-evaluations

  • Implement evidence based, neurodiversity affirming treatment techniques including sensory-based strategies and a strengths-based approach to improve independence in childhood occupations

  • Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, BCBA's, psychologists, and other team members to provide a whole child approach

  • Effectively provide parent and family education

  • Engage in cultural responsiveness when treatment planning for culturally diverse population


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

  • Current Washington State Occupational Therapy License

  • 1-3 years experience preferred, but open to new graduates
