JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Physician – Pediatrician

• Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Employed)

• Location: Munster and St. John, IN

• Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient

• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call

• Coverage Period: Ongoing

• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday

• On-Call Shift Schedule: 1:5 rotation, includes ER consults

• Call Type: Rotational

• Call Ratio: 1:5

• Patient Demographics: Pediatric patients

• Admissions: Yes

• Rounding: Yes

• Phone Consults: Yes

• Case Mix: General pediatrics with potential for subspecialty interests

FACILITY INFORMATION

• EMR System: EPIC – fully integrated HIMSS Stage VII

• Office Equipment Available: Standard pediatric care tools

• Specialty Backup Available: Collegial group of system physicians

• Support Staff Available: Nurse practitioner support in inpatient and outpatient settings

• Reason for Coverage: Practice growth and system expansion

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Credentialing Timeline: 90–120 days post-offer

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active IN license (or ability to obtain)

• Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics

• Experience: Open to all experience levels

• Other Qualifications: Subspecialty interests welcomed; EPIC proficiency

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver inpatient and outpatient pediatric services

• Participate in 1:5 call rotation including ER consults

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and support staff

• Document care using EPIC EMR system

• Contribute to high-quality pediatric care in a supportive and expanding health system
