Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Pediatrician to join our team at Queen's North Hawaii Community Hospital (QNHCH). This is an excellent opportunity to practice comprehensive pediatric medicine in a collaborative community hospital setting while enjoying the exceptional lifestyle and natural beauty of Hawaii Island.

The Pediatrician will provide both inpatient and outpatient pediatric services, supporting high-quality, evidence-based care for infants, children, and adolescents throughout North Hawaii.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
• Examine patients, obtain medical histories, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Manage newborn patients and hospitalized pediatric patients.
• Participate in admissions, observation care, transfers, and consultations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring providers.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and physician education activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care throughout the health system.

Minimum Qualifications 

• MD or DO degree from an accredited School of Medicine, or ECFMG certification. 
• Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Unrestricted Hawaii MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
• If Board Eligible, certification must be obtained within five years of residency or fellowship completion. 
• Ability to obtain and maintain medical staff privileges in good standing.
