Pediatricians
focus on the physical, emotional, and social health of children from birth to
young adulthood.

Key Responsibilities

Perform health assessments
and physical examinations.
Diagnose and treat childhood
illnesses.
Provide vaccinations and

Counsel parents on child
development and health issues.

Requirements

MD or DO degree.
Completion of residency in
pediatrics.
Board certification in
pediatrics.
Strong communication skills
with children and families.
Compassionate and patient-oriented approach.
