Peer Recovery Support Specialist - BIlingual

Overview  

HOPE Community Services, Inc. is a leading outpatient treatment provider in south Oklahoma City.  We provide compassionate trauma informed care to individuals whose lives have been impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. We do this by providing compassionate and evidence-based treatment, aimed at improving the quality of life for those we serve.  

We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with lived recovery experience who is passionate about helping others navigate their own recovery journey, while also providing language support for Spanish-speaking clients.

About the Position 
The Bilingual PRSS provides peer support services, advocates for clients, and assists individuals in accessing resources to support recovery. This role emphasizes the value of lived experience, empowering clients to set and achieve personal goals while maintaining professionalism, ethics, and compassion. Duties include recovery coaching, teaching coping skills, assisting with benefits applications, linking clients to community resources, and providing Spanish translation support as needed.

Requirements  

• Fluency in Spanish (speaking and writing) required.


• High School diploma or GED required


• Must have lived experience in recovery from a mental illness, substance use disorder, or co-occurring condition


• Certification as a C-PRSS, or the ability to obtain certification, required


• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and ability to meet HOPE insurance requirements


• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
