Job Description - Peer Recovery Support Specialist - Children and Youth

Overview  


HOPE Community Services, Inc. is a leading outpatient treatment provider in south Oklahoma City.  We provide compassionate trauma informed care to individuals whose lives have been impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. We do this by providing compassionate and evidence-based treatment, aimed at improving the quality of life for those we serve.  


We are seeking a dedicated Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) to join our youth-centered Systems of Care team. This role provides direct peer support to youth and their families, helping maintain family unity, prevent out-of-home placements, and support recovery and independence.




About the Position 
As a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS), you will provide direct support to youth and their families, serving as a mentor, advocate, and resource guide. You will help clients set goals, access community supports, and develop strategies for independence, while ensuring accurate documentation of services.


 


Requirements  



  • Demonstrated recovery from a mental health, substance use disorder or both

  • Ability to obtain certification as a PRSS



  • HS Diploma or GED 



  • Reliable transportation  

  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and compliance with HOPE insurance
