At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Peer Support Specialist to join our team in New Bern, NC.

Your Role in Our Mission

As a Certified Peer Support Specialist in the Opioid Treatment Program, you'll utilize personal lived experience with addiction and recovery to provide mentorship, emotional support, and advocacy to patients receiving medication-assisted treatment (MAT). They facilitate recovery groups, help navigate community resources, and aid in developing relapse prevention skills.

This position follows a Monday-Friday, 5:30am-2pm work schedule.

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency


• Must be a NC Certified Peer Support Specialist


• Must be or have been a recipient of SUD services


• Must possess a valid NC driver’s license
