Peer Support Specialist (WISe - School based)

Excelsior Wellness Center, a subsidiary of Excelsior Wellness, serves a broad and diverse base of individuals and families with the primary aim of identifying goals and making positive steps toward accomplishing them. Excelsior Wellness Center is looking for a Certified Peer Specialist to join our treatment team and who has a passion for behavioral health and serving our community.

How to Qualify:

1. Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.


2. Has completed, or has the ability to complete, specialized training through Washington State HCA in becoming a Certified Youth or Family Specialist. Dual certification preferred.


3. Minimum one year experiencing working and/or volunteering directly with youth.


4. Must be 21 years or older.


5. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for employment. *New employees with out-of-state licenses must obtain a Washington State Driver’s License within 30 days of employment*

Core Responsibilities Include:

1. Participates as a member of the treatment team providing outreach, engagement and support of on-going services to enrolled youth and families.


2. Utilizes personal experiences of recovery to provide youth or families guidance and support in their own recovery.


3. Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure families have access to crisis services 24/7. This may include phone support and in-person response.
