Job Description - People & Culture Generalist

Lund seeks a People & Culture Generalist who shares our deep commitment to compassion, empathy, integrity, collaboration, and respect to help us build and sustain a caring and inclusive community. As part of a team, this role will provide broad support across the full spectrum of human resources—recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, learning and development, and more. Our People & Culture Generalists serve as trusted partners to staff and supervisors alike, helping to ensure our people practices are thoughtful, equitable, and aligned with our values.

This position guides staff through welcoming onboarding experiences, supports staff through challenging moments with care and confidentiality, educates staff on Federal and State employment laws and regulations, and helps shape policies and practices that uphold both compliance and compassion. They'll help grow our learning culture, support performance management, leverage data for decision making, manage reporting requirements, and contribute to initiatives that build connections, appreciation, and belonging across the Agency.

As a team, we strive to shape a workplace where kindness is the norm, equity is the standard, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We carry out our people operations functions with a people-first mindset.

This is a full-time, in-person position at our South Burlington office. The salary range is $60,000 - $70,000.

Research shows that individuals from marginalized groups—such as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, people with disabilities, and those from working-class backgrounds—often hesitate to apply for jobs unless they can see themselves meeting and performing every responsibility and requirement. However, many skills can be learned on the job. If you can see yourself adding value to the role, our clients, staff, and guests and meeting most of the responsibilities and qualifications, we encourage you to apply!

 What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in HRIS, employee relations, leave administration, or learning and development is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Commit to and promote continuous learning and development in the areas of best practices in Human Resources, laws and regulations, compliance, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

The successful completion of a background check and driving record check is a condition of employment.
