A leading global organization is seeking a People Partner for a 6-month contract. This role provides forward-looking, strategic HR counsel to senior business leaders across Risk Consulting and Claims functions in the US, Canada, and global teams.
Reporting to the People Leader, this role serves as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters and is responsible for shaping and driving the talent agenda aligned with business strategy. The People Partner uses data and insights to diagnose talent priorities and inform decision-making, including organizational design and workforce planning.
This role collaborates closely with Centers of Excellence (CoEs), HR Managers, and other People Partners to implement enterprise HR initiatives while tailoring solutions to meet business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic HR Business Partnering
Partner with business leaders to develop talent strategies aligned with business objectives
Stay closely connected to business operations, workforce challenges, and capability gaps
Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making
Collaboration & HR Alignment
Work closely with HR Managers and People Partners to ensure alignment on priorities and execution
Identify opportunities to drive consistency and implement enterprise-wide HR solutions
Talent Development & Mobility
Support career development, leadership development, and learning initiatives
Assess bench strength and workforce capabilities
Monitor internal mobility trends and provide insights to leadership
Workforce Planning & Performance Management
Support workforce planning, succession planning, and talent reviews
Partner with leaders on performance management and reward strategies
Use analytics to guide decision-making and improve outcomes
Organizational Effectiveness & Change Management
Partner with leaders on organizational design and effectiveness initiatives
Support restructuring efforts and development of business cases
Advise on internal communications and change management strategies
Inclusion & Diversity
Partner with leadership to identify inclusion and diversity opportunities
Conduct assessments and support implementation of action plans
Recruiting Support
Provide input on sourcing strategies and talent needs
Participate in interviews and advise on candidate selection when needed
Employee Engagement & Culture
Champion organizational culture and engagement initiatives
Support action planning based on engagement survey results
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience as an HR practitioner in the US and/or Canada with both strategic and operational HR exposure
Experience supporting global teams or operating in a global environment is preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Proven experience developing talent strategies aligned with business goals
Strong ability to coach and influence senior leaders
Experience using data, metrics, and HR technology to support decision-making
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of business operations and related people challenges
Demonstrated commitment to staying current on HR trends and sharing insights
