In both divisions, Arch Solutions provides world-class support that minimizes downtime while extending the life of equipment we all rely on.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you would be the operational engine of our People function. Arch is a lean and scaling company and this role exists because the hiring, onboarding, records, benefits and systems that come with growth need a dedicated owner.
There is no single lane here.
You might spend an hour coordinating interviews, move straight into a benefits question, chase down a missing signature, pull a report for leadership, and then figure out how to build something in a system that is completely new to you.
Some weeks are steady. Some weeks a new role opens and there are thirty interviews to get on the calendar by Friday.
If that sounds exhausting, this is probably not the job for you.
If it sounds like a good time, keep reading.
Recruiting operations. Every interview scheduled and coordinated. Candidates kept warm, informed, and treated well, including the ones we say no to. Ashby, (our ATS) is run properly and kept clean. Depending on your recruiting experience, you may also conduct first-round screening calls.
Benefits operations. You are the first person employees come to with benefits questions. You don't need to know every answer, but you do need to know how to find it. You'll manage enrollments, qualifying life events, employee questions, and the operational side of annual open enrollment in partnership with our AMAZING broker.
People operations. Onboarding that makes someone's first day feel like we were expecting them. Employee records kept accurate in HiBob (our HRIS). Documents and signatures tracked. Audits and reports completed when we need them. Compliance deadlines managed before they become emergencies. Offboarding handled accurately, kindly, and cleanly.
Right-hand support. Knowing what is in flight, what is due, and what is about to slip before anyone has to ask. Preparing what the People function needs for leadership meetings. Taking projects from "we need to do this" to done—and moving them without being chased.
You like being the person everybody comes to.
You like a day that looks nothing like yesterday.
You like opening software you have never seen before and figuring it out.
You get genuine satisfaction from closing loops, cleaning up details, and knowing exactly where things stand.
You can keep six things moving at once without making everyone around you feel the chaos.
You like people. All kinds of them, on their good days and their difficult ones.
And you don't need a detailed set of instructions every time something new lands on your desk. You ask good questions, use the resources available to you, and go figure things out.
When you run into a problem or a block, you bring ideas to the table to help solve it.
You have some level of HR experience. We don't particularly care which lane it comes from.
Maybe you've worked in recruiting coordination or talent acquisition. Maybe you've administered benefits. Maybe you've owned onboarding, HRIS administration, employee records, compliance, or general People Operations.
Maybe you've just had one of those jobs where you were thrown into managing things and had to figure it out.
You do not need to have done everything on this list. In fact, we don't expect you to.
But you should come in already knowing at least one part of the HR world well enough that we are building on a foundation rather than starting from zero.
Beyond that, we care a lot about who you are and how you show up for our Archers.
You are fast and accurate at speed.
You pick up systems quickly and are willing to click around, research, troubleshoot, and figure things out before asking someone to walk you through every step.
You follow through. If you said you would do something, it gets done when you said it would.
You notice the loose end.
You can shift priorities without becoming flustered when the entire days schedule is derailed before lunch.
You communicate well with candidates, employees, executives, vendors, and everyone in between.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, you can hold a confidence permanently. You will know things about people's compensation, families, performance, health, and lives that are simply not yours to share. Building trust and demonstrating discretion are the foundations of this role.
A lot. And have a ton of fun doing it.
You will work across nearly every part of the People function, so whatever your current specialty is, it won't stay your only one.
We will teach you our systems, processes, company Values, and ways of working. You'll have support when you are learning something genuinely new, and access to experienced people when expertise is required.
But this is not a role where every task comes with a training session or step-by-step instructions. If you are not a self learner and a self starter, this is not the role or environment for you.
We expect you to investigate, use available resources, ask thoughtful questions, bring solutions, and become increasingly self-sufficient.
The goal is not for you to become good at following our process.
The goal is for you to improve on what we currently have and take ownership for making it world class.
Microsoft 365 - Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint are the foundation tools.
HiBob is our HR system and holds our employee records.
Ashby is our applicant tracking system and would be yours to operate and keep clean.
SharePoint houses our People Hub, the self-service resource for our employees, which you would help maintain and improve.
ClickUp is where project management lives.
You don't need experience in all of these specific platforms. You do need to be the kind of person who learns new software quickly and isn't intimidated by an unfamiliar system.
This is a broad role by design.
If you want to specialize in one narrow corner of HR and stay there, you probably won't enjoy the speed and breadth of this role.
If you want exposure to recruiting, benefits, systems, compliance, employee experience, operations, culture, and the thousand small things that make a People function actually work - and you want the opportunity to eventually own a surprising amount of it - you will probably love life at Arch.
This is a special place, built with intent, integrity, and heart. Our Values guide us, our teammates cheer us on, and we give back in big and meaningful ways. This is work that truly matters to rural communities, to underserved populations, to global villages and urban universities. We impact peoples lives every second of every day and we are proud of the work we do and the impact we have. This is Arch.
