Department: Perinatal Behavioral Health – SHORE Program

Schedule:

Part time 32 hours/week

Flexible schedule

Pay Rate: $20/hour

About the SHORE Program  

The SHORE Program offers compassionate, comprehensive support for pregnant and postpartum women with substance use disorders. Our multidisciplinary team provides medication management, short-term therapy, and recovery services — and YOU can be a vital part of that journey.

What You’ll Do  

As a Perinatal Peer Recovery Specialist, you’ll use your lived experience to provide hope and support to women in early recovery.

You will:  

• Offer mentorship, encouragement, and peer support in individual and group settings  


• Guide women through recovery goals and connect them with resources and sober support networks  


• Advocate for patients during treatment planning and help break down barriers to recovery  


• Build bridges between patients and healthcare, social services, and the recovery community  


• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain accurate documentation  


• Promote wellness by encouraging attendance at therapy, medical appointments, and recovery activities

We’re seeking someone who is:  

• In recovery with a minimum of 2 years of sustained sobriety  


• Has personal experience with addiction and pregnancy  


• Trained as a Recovery Coach (or willing to complete certification within 6 months)  


• Passionate about helping others find their own path to recovery  


• A strong communicator and team player  


• Comfortable using basic technology and electronic medical records  


• Able to set healthy boundaries and respect confidentiality 

Minimum Requirements:  

• High School Diploma or GED  


• Completion of Recovery Coach training (ethics included)  


• Certified Recovery Specialist (or commitment to obtain within 6 months)
