Perioperative Navigation Technician

Department:

University Hospital | Perioperative Imaging

The Perioperative Services division encompasses navigation equipment located in all University Hospital’s and The James Cancer Hospital.

The Navigation Technician is responsible for managing and administering image-guided surgery navigation systems/instrumentation. The primary focus is to support and assist surgeons to correlate intraoperative anatomy with preoperative CT and MRI images. Responsible for the coordination, operation, and maintenance of all navigation equipment in the OR and Periop locations within the Medical Center. In addition, the position will serve as support personnel for the clinical service line and daily operational workflow.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Graduate or GED certificate required. Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred. One-year relevant clinical experience in healthcare is required.

Meets mandatory education required to stay current with technological advances and health surveillance requirements.  Demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
