Summary: As a Permit Specialist, you will be an integral part of a small, diverse team responsible for administering permits for over-dimensional and overweight tractor-trailers. You will provide special assistance and direction to ensure the safe movement of these vehicles throughout the state.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with transportation professionals across the country.


• Provide customer support to commercial carriers.


• Review oversize and overweight permits for accuracy and completeness.


• Assess permits for routes and restrictions to ensure safe travel throughout the state.


• Ensure permit compliance with current rules and laws.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or an associate degree with two years of relevant experience in motor carrier registration, permit-related responsibilities, or compliance analysis with state and federal rules.


• Alternatively, a high school diploma with four years of relevant experience in motor carrier registration, permit-related responsibilities, or compliance analysis with state and federal rules.
