Who We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-driven Permitting Manager to lead our permitting department. This person will not only handle permitting tasks but also manage and develop a team. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who thrives on structure, deadlines, and teamwork across departments to ensure permits move efficiently and accurately.

A Day in the Life of the Permitting Manager:

• Oversee and manage the entire permitting workflow from start to finish
• Submit and complete permit applications with various jurisdictions (electronically and in-person)
• Lead and mentor the permitting team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time
• Coordinate with Design, Project Management, and Sales teams to prepare permit packages
• Track permit statuses and proactively communicate updates to internal teams and clients
• Maintain compliance with local and state licensing and permitting regulations

A Few Qualifications This Person Must Have:

• Proven experience in permitting preferred 
• Leadership or supervisory experience mandatory
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills in a high-volume environment
• Ability to lead a team while also being hands-on with the work
• Excellent organizational and professional communication skills
• Strong collaboration mindset - this role works closely with multiple departments

• Prior experience managing permitting processes in signage, construction, or a similar industry
• Working knowledge of local and state permitting regulations
• Comfortable with permitting portals and systems (municipal and state)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
