Personal Care Aide

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to join our team in Fraser, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. You will work closely with clients to meet their personal care needs while fostering a safe, supportive, and respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.


• Help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.


• Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to staff.


• Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation.


• Ensure client safety by identifying potential hazards in the home and taking appropriate action.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care giving or personal care role preferred but not required.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and assisting clients as needed.


• Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor.


• Must be able to pass background checks and any required certifications.
