Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Ypsilanti, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients, assisting with daily living activities to enhance their quality of life and promote independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.


• Help with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety and comfort.


• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed.


• Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and organizing.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.


• Monitor and report changes in clients’ conditions to supervisors.


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents.

Requirements

• Previous experience in personal care or home health aide is an asset, but NOT required.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.


• Reliable, compassionate, and patient with a genuine desire to help others.


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus.


• Ability to pass background checks.
