Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Romeo, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients, helping them with daily living activities to enhance their quality of life and promote independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.


• Support clients with mobility, transferring, and positioning as needed.


• Help with meal preparation and feeding assistance.


• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.


• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to supervisory staff.


• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities to promote social interaction and emotional well-being.


• Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.

Requirements

• Previous experience in personal care or a related field is an asset.


• Ability to assist with physical tasks such as lifting and turning clients.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine desire to help others.


• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation preferred.


• Willingness to undergo background checks.
