Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and care to our clients in Temperance, MI. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities to enhance their quality of life and promote independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.


• Help with mobility, including transferring and walking assistance.


• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed.


• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.


• Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel.


• Follow care plans and instructions from supervisors to ensure quality care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care giving or personal care role is a plus but not required.


• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients and team members.


• Reliable, trustworthy, and patient with a strong work ethic.


• Ability to pass background checks are required.


• Flexibility to work various shifts based on client needs.
