Location: Hybrid opportunity based in Durham, North Carolina, offering a balance of in-office collaboration and flexibility.

Note: Personal injury experience is a must-have qualification for consideration. We are primarily targeting attorneys with 1+ years of directly relevant experience, although we welcome more senior candidates and attorneys coming from successful solo practice backgrounds.

Job Description

  • Manage personal injury matters from initial case development through settlement, litigation, and resolution.
  • Investigate claims, analyze medical records and damages, and develop effective case strategies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct and prepare for depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
  • Prepare clients, witnesses, exhibits, and case materials for mediation and trial.
  • Maintain proactive, compassionate communication with clients throughout their matters.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases efficiently toward strong outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of personal injury experience required.
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active attorney license in good standing with the ability to practice in North Carolina.
  • Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and case management skills.
  • Litigation experience involving discovery, depositions, mediation, or trial preparation is highly valued.
  • Plaintiff-side personal injury experience is strongly preferred.
  • Solo practitioners with directly relevant personal injury experience are encouraged to apply.
