Key Responsibilities

• Case Evaluation & Client Consultation: Meet with prospective clients to assess personal injury claims, provide expert legal counsel, and outline available legal remedies and courses of action
• Legal Research & Case Preparation: Conduct thorough investigations of accident reports, medical records, and witness statements; gather and analyze evidence to build compelling cases; collaborate with medical experts, accident reconstruction specialists, and other professional witnesses
• Negotiation & Settlement: Engage in strategic negotiations with insurance companies and opposing counsel to maximize settlement amounts and secure favorable outcomes for clients prior to trial
• Litigation & Court Representation: Draft legal documents including complaints, motions, and discovery requests; represent clients in all court proceedings including hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations; present persuasive arguments and cross-examine witnesses
• Client Communication & Case Management: Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress, legal strategies, and developments; effectively manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting all court deadlines and procedural requirements

Required Qualifications

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensing: Active license to practice law in the State of New York in good standing
• Experience: Prior experience in personal injury law strongly preferred, with plaintiff-side litigation experience required
