Salary:

$110,000 - $135,000 base salary, commensurate with experience and billing goals. Bonus programs provide the opportunity for substantial additional compensation.

Summary:

ZKS LAW has an immediate opening for a strong Personal Injury Litigation Defense Attorney or Of-Counsel with 2-7 years of defense litigation experience in the below areas. Trial experience a plus but not required. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop and build their practice for long-term success.

Responsibilities, Skills, and Abilities:

Conduct legal research and analysis on personal injury defense cases.

*

Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

*

Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses.

*

Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and other fact-finding activities.

*

Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.

*

Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.

*

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.

*

Manage case files, deadlines, and documentation in an organized and efficient manner.

*

Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on various matters related to personal injury defense litigation.

*

Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedent relevant to personal injury defense.
Required Skills:

Experience using Westlaw for legal research; ATO experience preferred;

Education and Experience:

Licensed in the state of Florida;

2-7 years of applicable

defense

experience, including litigation;

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Work Environment:

The first 90 days of onboarding/training are required to occur on-site.

*

Subject to change per the Managing Shareholder: the team is currently working a hybrid schedule with two days weekly in office.

*

More in-office time is required during trial preparation.

*

Successful candidates will feel confident about their ability to work effectively and collaboratively, no matter the setting.
