Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the downtown Chicago, IL office.

About Our Client

Our client is a growing plaintiff personal injury law firm dedicated to advocating for individuals who have been injured due to negligence. They are expanding their team and seeking a motivated Litigation Paralegal to support their attorneys in handling a variety of personal injury cases.

Job Description

• Assist attorneys with all aspects of personal injury litigation, from case inception to resolution.
• Conduct initial client interviews and schedule formal intakes.
• Review and summarize medical records and bills.
• Manage case files, track deadlines, and maintain case calendars.
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Open insurance claims and communicate with adjusters.
• Research and collect evidence for pre-suit investigations.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Prepare and file court documents.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of litigation experience, strongly preferred any of the following: personal injury, nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, asbestos/toxic tort litigation or commercial litigation.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.
