Job Description - Personal Lines Account Manager

Personal Lines Account Manager

Detail-oriented and customer-focused position. This role is responsible for managing and servicing a book of personal lines insurance accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and growth. Strong communication skills, a deep understanding of personal insurance products, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of personal lines clients, including homeowners, auto, renters, umbrella, and other personal insurance policies.

  • Provide day-to-day service to clients, including policy changes, coverage questions, billing inquiries, and claims support.

  • Review renewals and proactively recommend coverage enhancements or changes to ensure clients are always well-protected.

  • Quote and bind new business, endorsements, and renewals using carrier systems and comparative raters.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in our agency management system.

  • Foster strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members.

  • Ensure compliance with agency procedures and insurance regulations.

  • Assist with cross-selling and upselling opportunities to meet agency growth goals.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred).

  • Previous experience in an insurance agency, specifically in personal lines

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with agency management systems (e.g., AMS360) is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
