Job Description - Personal Lines Client Support Specialist

Description

We are seeking a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative to join our team in Wethersfield Connecticut.
35 hours per week:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:30AM - 3PM
  • Friday: 8:30AM - 12:30PM

Candidates must have an active property and casualty license.  

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Personal Lines insurance products. 
  • Answering calls and responding to customer inquiries. 
  • Accessing customer accounts and policy schedules. 
  • Processing payments, simple endorsements such as address changes, pulling documents.  
  • Providing customers with detailed information about policies and products. 
  • Liaison between agents, carriers, and customers. 
  • Identifying accounts for upsell or cross sell potential and forwarding customers to sales agents when a policy needs to be initiated or upgraded. 
  • Typing up complaint reports. 
  • Managing the customer complaint database. 
  • Scanning and attaching files when necessary. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):

  • Friendly and professional demeanor. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of database software. 
  • High-level typing skills. 
  • Advanced knowledge of telephone and call forwarding systems. 
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. 
  • Ability to explain detailed policy concepts in a simple way. 

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • Active Property and Casualty license
  • 3+ years’ experience working as a customer service representative. 
  • 2+ years' experience in Personal Lines.
