Personal Support Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to provide high-quality care to clients in Port Huron, MI. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities to enhance their independence and well-being, ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.


• Support clients with mobility and transferring as needed.


• Help with meal preparation and feeding if required.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.


• Monitor and report clients' health status and any changes to supervisors.


• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.


• Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals.


• Respect client privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Personal Support Worker or in a similar role is a plus.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Compassionate and patient demeanor.


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is an asset.


• Willingness to undergo background checks and any required health screenings.
