Personal Support Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to provide exceptional care and support to clients in Whitmore Lake, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities to enhance their quality of life in a safe and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.


• Support clients with mobility and transfers to prevent falls and injuries.


• Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.


• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.


• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.


• Follow individualized care plans and adhere to all health and safety policies.

Requirements

• Experience in personal support or home care is plus but no required


• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients and their families.


• Certification in Personal Support Worker or equivalent is an asset.


• Reliable transportation to and from job location in Whitmore Lake, MI.


• Ability to pass background checks and meet company screening requirements.


• Strong organizational and time management skills.
