Job Summary
We are searching for an experienced Pet Groomer to join the team at our successful grooming business. As a Pet Groomer, you will clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for pets, we want to hear from you!
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role
- Comfortable working with anxious animals
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds
- Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
- Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners
- Strong attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
- Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
- Trim nails
- Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
- Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners
Salary commensurate with experience
We are a full service dog and cat grooming salon! This specialized grooming facility, which solely focuses on the pets in your life, provides a happy and fun environment and a full range of services to pamper your pet, just like a beauty salon. Grooming services are offered six days per week and include oatmeal baths, hair cuts, nail clipping, teeth brushing and more.
