Woofie’s Mobile Pet Spa of Annapolis, MD brings the comforts and amenities of an upscale grooming salon to the privacy and convenience of your home. Our fully equipped, self-contained mobile spa with state-of-the-art grooming equipment is designed to achieve maximum safety, comfort, and convenience. We are seeking aPet Spa Groomerwho performs pet grooming services by receiving grooming instructions, resolving pet owner concerns, and maintaining supplies, driving a Mercedes Sprinter van, and grooming workspaces.

Responsibilities:

Assess pet condition, interview pet owners, inspect pet(s), and confirm service requests before commencement of grooming services;
Groom pets by bathing, brushing, combing, paw pad trimming, de-shedding, de-matting, drying, clipping/filing nails, cleaning ears, and deodorizing according to breed or mixed breed specifications and in accordance with Woofie’s standards;
Apply special precautions for puppies, aged, unique breeds, and disabled pets and ease pet anxieties and reduce behavioral issues by utilizing available resources and techniques;
Protect pets and self by adhering to safety policies and following procedures in the event of a pet medical emergency;
Maintain pet records by documenting services and updating information in a prompt manner;
Clean, sanitize, and follow the manufacturer's instructions for all equipment while conserving use of replenishable supplies by adhering to proper portion or dilution level guidelines;
Resolve customer issues by communicating directly with clients and promptly following up with the back-office team;
Maintain supplies, keeping the Mobile Pet Spa and grooming workspaces clean, stocked and organized;
Recommend additional services and products to client(s) as needed;
Complete clerical, supply, cleaning, and any other tasks related to the Mobile Pet Spa as assigned;
Attend local events and demonstrate onsite grooming services as reasonably requested; and
Other duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications:

5+ years of pet grooming experience
Possess a valid driver’s license and willing to safely operate the Mobile Pet Spa;
Ability to work flexible hours as reasonably assigned including some weekends;
Be reliable and punctual;

· Excellent work history and references;

· Genuine love for pets and pet owners with a desire to make the customer experience pleasant, welcoming, and memorable;

· Professional demeanor and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude; and

· Ability to lift 40 pounds, travel to client homes and stand and sit throughout work periods.
