Job Description - PFS MANAGER CPC - INSURANCE

Essential Functions
Ensures claims and correspondence are processed and insurance follow-up performed timely providing high quality claims processing, follow-up and patient/physician customer service.

Reviews the insurance filing process for operational enhancements ensuring a constant and steady flow of third-party billings and collections.

Analyze changes in accounts receivable by financial class/denial denoting trends and communicate findings both verbally and written.

Exercises good judgment. Considers all facts and makes sound decisions based on thorough analysis and communicates changes to affected areas.

Expand job-related knowledge and skills to improve department performance. Reviews trends and developments in the field of insurance processing and documents for reference and application routing information to staff.

Requirements

 Required Education and Experience:  High School diploma; 2-year degree in business-related field preferred. Minimum of 4 years experience processing claims for a Multi-specialty physician practice. Familiar with Managed Care claims adjudication process. Management and supervisory experience. Active CPC certification through AAPC or equivalent  

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:  Familiar with medical terminology. Experience with various Windows based spreadsheet and word processing applications. Ability to create effective spreadsheets and graphs to analyze data trends to make appropriate management decisions.Ability to prepare and present effective formal presentations.Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to effectively use interpersonal skills to manage personnel issues.Ability to assess a situation and decide the best course of action.Professional appearance and manner.
