Allied Reliability is seeking a Pharmaceutical Production & Facilities Maintenance Technician in Hamilton, NY. 

 

Responsibilities include: 



Maintain all production equipment and facility systems in a reliable and safe operating condition through preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot, modify, and repair support systems and equipment as needed. Perform installation of equipment following standard operating procedures. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and PLCs. Stay current with technological advancements in PLCs to contribute innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing processes. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including logs, reports, and work orders. Work with internal and external entities to complete repairs and improvements on plant facilities and equipment. Provide support, guidance, and training for co-workers as directed/needed.


Must understand the operation of production equipment and facility support systems to provide reliable equipment performance and minimal downtime through effective preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. Coordinate downtime, troubleshooting, and repair with production departments. Perform preventative maintenance tasks and associated paperwork as assigned. Coordinate shutdown activities to ensure all planned activities are accomplished.


Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting. In-depth knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Familiarity with electrical systems, motors, drives, and instrumentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork. Understanding of safety protocols and adherence to regulatory requirements. Flexibility to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with rotating shifts if required.


May be required to carry an electronic device for 24-hour call-in.


Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of GMPs preferred. On-site aseptic technique training is provided for clean room responsibilities.


Experience: 3-5 years' experience in trade or comparable training. Experience with equipment, machinery, and systems in a regulated manufacturing environment. Previous experience with PLC’s is desired. Electrical experience highly desired.
