Pharmacist

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in decentralized pharmacy operations, providing clinical support to various departments.
• Attend codes as needed, with a preference for candidates holding ACLS certification.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety.
• Engage in IV preparation and compounding as needed; experience in this area is highly desirable.
• Utilize EMR systems including EPIC, Lexicomp, Baxter IQ for medication management.
• Oversee medication dispensing using systems such as Omnicell, Central Pharmacy Robot, and Omnicell XT cabinets.
• Mentor and guide pharmacy technicians as required.
• Manage and participate in departmental orientation and training programs.

Qualifications:

• Current Arizona pharmacist license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience in a facility with a similar census (approximately 250).
• Proficient in Vanco AUC dosing; experience should be highlighted during the interview process.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Additional Information:

• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend or one per month preferred.
• Holiday Requirements: 2/3 holidays required.
• Dress Code: Business casual with a white coat or khaki scrubs.
• Orientation: One day of new employee orientation and clinical education, followed by one day of floor orientation.
