Transplant Clinical Pharmacist - Solid Organ Specialty

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead pharmaceutical care throughout the transplant continuum, from initial patient selection to long-term follow-up
• Optimize immunosuppressive medication regimens and manage complex comorbidities
• Provide comprehensive medication education to patients and families
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and clinic visits
• Develop and implement treatment protocols for allograft rejection
• Precept pharmacy students and residents in transplant specialty rotations
• Conduct clinical research and quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• PharmD from ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Virginia pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure
• Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
• Strong clinical decision-making and analytical skills
• Excellence in communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• PGY2 Solid Organ Transplant Specialty Residency
• Clinical research experience
• Teaching and precepting experience
