DESCRIPTION

Vision Quest Solutions is seeking experienced Pharmacists to provide comprehensive pharmacy services at Tohatchi Health Center in Tohatchi, New Mexico.

The Pharmacist will provide professional pharmacy services supporting safe medication use and high-quality patient care while collaborating with physicians, nurses, pharmacy personnel, and other members of the healthcare team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Review prescriptions and medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic effectiveness
• Prepare, verify, and dispense medications
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients
• Provide clinical drug information to healthcare professionals
• Support pharmacy operations and medication inventory management
• Maintain accurate pharmacy and patient documentation
• Promote medication safety and appropriate pharmaceutical care
• Assist with pharmaceutical supply management
• Support applicable inpatient and outpatient pharmacy functions
• Maintain compliance with IHS, federal, pharmacy, and patient-safety requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to support patient outcomes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited school or college of pharmacy
• Current, active, unrestricted pharmacist license
• Ability to provide professional pharmacist services within the applicable scope of practice
• Knowledge of medication safety, pharmaceutical care, dosing, interactions, and contraindications
• Ability to provide patient medication counseling and education
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely pharmacy documentation
• Ability to successfully complete IHS credentialing and onboarding requirements
• Ability to successfully complete required HSPD-12 security/background requirements
