Pharmacist - Per Diem - Start Immediately

OneHealth Pharmacy LLC, a distinguished Oncology/Hematology group, operates a thriving, freestanding outpatient Cancer Center that serves patients seven days a week. With an unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care, our center boasts advanced chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy, and Research departments. Our academic affiliations keep us at the cutting edge of medical practice and patient treatment protocols.
We are seeking an experienced Per Diem Pharmacist to provide essential coverage, ensuring continuous operation of our pharmacy services. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional capable of working independently with minimal oversight. The successful candidate will step into a fast-paced environment, contributing immediately beyond basic orientation on our systems and policies.

In this role you will:

• Deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care, addressing clinical inquiries, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring accurate medication dispensing.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
• Stay abreast of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards to ensure full compliance and patient safety.
• Efficiently process prescription claims using electronic health records and insurance billing procedures.
• Maintain a tidy and organized work environment, in line with our pharmacy policies and procedures.

We require:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or Registered Pharmacist (RPh) in New York State.
• Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, detail orientation, and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work on short notice for covering planned and unplanned absences.

• Competitive salary: $68 - $72 per hour, based on experience.

Work Schedule:

• This position is designed to provide coverage primarily for planned absences of our existing pharmacist, including vacations and sick days, with 90% of the schedule known well in advance. There may occasionally be a need for short-notice support.
