Pharmacy Clerk

CareArc is looking for a Pharmacy Clerk. The pharmacy clerk is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in providing patients with friendly, efficient, professional, and timely delivery of pharmacy services. The pharmacy clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, operating the cash register, and preparing prescriptions for delivery or mail out.

Primary Functions

• Interact with public and staff to actively engage in finding ways to assist patients in accessing medications


• Operate cash register, handling cash and other tenders of payment such as vouchers, debit and credit cards and balancing registers


• Answer the telephone, responding to questions and requests


• Maintain and apply knowledge of the 340B program, sliding fee scale, and referral prescriptions


• Assist the Pharmacy Director with 340B program compliance, as necessary
  

Required Qualifications

• High School graduate or General Education Degree (GED)


• Previous experience operating cash register, credit card machine, and cash handling
