Position Summary

The Pharmacy Clerk supports licensed pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications while ensuring excellent customer service and accurate administrative support. This role is essential to keeping pharmacy operations running smoothly and efficiently in a patient-centered healthcare setting.

What You’ll Do

• Support pharmacists with prescription intake, processing, and documentation


• Greet patients and customers, providing exceptional service aligned with One Health’s mission


• Answer phones and route inquiries appropriately


• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately


• Receive, unpack, label, and stock pharmaceutical supplies (including refrigerated items)


• Monitor inventory and check for outdated medications


• Maintain clean, organized work areas and pharmacy equipment


• Accurately update and maintain electronic medical records (EMR)


• Assist with audits, quality improvement, and compliance activities


• Follow HIPAA guidelines and all One Health policies and procedures


• Work collaboratively as part of a supportive pharmacy team


• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED


• Valid driver’s license

Preferred

• BLS Certification (may be obtained upon hire)

Work Environment

• Indoor, climate-controlled environment (95% of the time)


• Moderate noise level typical of a healthcare or office setting


• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)


• Some evening or weekend hours as needed


• Occasional travel to other One Health sites or meetings within Montana and regionally
