Job Description - Pharmacy Compliance Specialist

Compliance Specialist needed based out of Woodridge, Illinois.

Onco360 Pharmacy is a unique oncology pharmacy model created to serve the needs of community, oncology and hematology physicians, patients, payers, and manufacturers. This opportunity can be worked in a remote style, Full time hours, Monday to Friday, standard business hours starting between 8am and 9am CST.

Salary starting at $28.00 per hour and up, depending on experience

Compliance Specialist Summary:

The Compliance Specialist will assist the Amerita/Onco360/CareMed/ConnectMed360 Compliance Team in monitoring legislative/regulatory changes in ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations. Also, will provide general support to the team for licensing, monitoring, auditing, and special projects as needed.

Compliance Specialist Major Responsibilities:

Monitors, reviews, and provides analysis of state and federal legislative/regulatory activity.
Assists the Vice President, Specialty Pharmacy Compliance with working with operations and other departments to understand and lead implementation of regulatory changes.
Assists in special projects assigned to the Compliance Department.
Research state BOP regulations and requirements (inspection triggers, signage requirements, label requirements, etc.). Notify pharmacies of upcoming regulatory changes that will affect practice.
Assists with the investigation of all compliance related events.
Effectively communicates and presents information on compliance activities on a regular basis.
Compiles and provides quarterly data to the Vice President, Specialty Pharmacy Compliance or designee for the Compliance Committees’ and other reporting bodies.
Collaborates with appropriate departments to collect data from multiple reporting systems/sources for auditing purposes.
Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Specialty Pharmacy Compliance, or designee

Travel:

Expectation of travel at 25% by plane or vehicle including overnight stays as necessary. Proximity and access to major airport.

Compliance Analyst Position Qualifications:

Education/Work Experience:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Law, or related field. At least two (2) years’ experience in pharmaceutical regulatory or industry related experience.
Preferred: Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC). Infusion and compounding pharmacy experience a plus.
Skills/Knowledge
Required: Must exhibit excellent skills in the following areas: verbal/written communication, computer/data entry/software proficiency, and attention to detail. Experience working in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare fields. Working knowledge of quality assurance/improvement and compliance experience. Highly effective in working objectively with a diverse group of people and must demonstrate communication, organizational, administrative and office skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical solutions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Knowledge of DEA and State Boards of Pharmacy licensure requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
