Job Description - Pharmacy Technician

Location: Hines, Illinois
Position Type: Full-time, First Shift (6:30 AM through 3:00 PM)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Certified Technicians shall hold a current valid certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
- Non-certified technicians must have 6 months of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting; or be a graduate of an Academic Technician Training Educational Program.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications and maintain related records.
- Prepare, package, label, and distribute medication doses prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain inventories of drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, rotating stock, and checking expiration dates.
- Fill/stock medications in various automated devices and storage locations.
- Operate pharmacy automation equipment, including Autofill devices, Baker Cells, Kalish cells, A-frames, and repackaging equipment.
