Job Description - Pharmacy Technician


  • Location: Hines, Illinois
  • Position Type: Full-time, First Shift (6:30 AM through 3:00 PM)
  • Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
    • Certified Technicians shall hold a current valid certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
    • Non-certified technicians must have 6 months of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting; or be a graduate of an Academic Technician Training Educational Program.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Prepare and dispense medications and maintain related records.
    • Prepare, package, label, and distribute medication doses prescribed by physicians.
    • Maintain inventories of drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, rotating stock, and checking expiration dates.
    • Fill/stock medications in various automated devices and storage locations.
    • Operate pharmacy automation equipment, including Autofill devices, Baker Cells, Kalish cells, A-frames, and repackaging equipment.
