Pharmacy Technician

Salary: $21.83 weekdays | $23.83 weekends 

Weekly Pay with benefit options

Shifts Available : Monday-Friday

• 7:30am-4:30pm
• 8:30pm-5:30pm

*3-Month Minimum Contract Assignment with option to extend

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The ideal candidate should be able to answer pharmaceutical questions and display exceptional customer service skills. He/she must display compassion and understanding in addition to attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.  

• Inventory management. 
• Preparing medications for a pharmacist final check
• Delivering medications to patient areas 
• Conducting medication area inspections 
• Providing technical assistance 
• Performing clerical duties
• Provides guidance to others as needed
• Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment within the boundaries allowed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Responsible for adhering to standards of professional, legal, and ethical practice and all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and/or guidelines of the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
• Will abide with agency leave policy, abide with rules, regulations, policies and performs other duties as assigned.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Must be able to pass a urine drug screen and background check 
• Valid Photo ID

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Experience in pharmaceutical assistance work.
• Experience in Pyxis MedStation System preferred.
• Experience in manual cart fill preferred.
• Experience with medication room inspections preferred.
• Experience with manual and automated medication repackaging preferred.
