We Are Looking For

A Pharmacy Technician at our Specialty Pharmacy who will play a personal role within our community to ensure that our patients receive the medication and care that they need. This position will work under a licensed pharmacist's direct supervision to provide exceptional customer service while assisting patients and filling prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, including handling calls, routine visits, and addressing issues promptly.
• Make monthly care calls to patients to organize refills and deliveries/shipments.
• Assist the Pharmacist in all aspects of medication dispensing and pharmaceutical care, including preparation, labeling, and filling prescriptions, as well as answering inquiries.
• Enter and process new prescriptions and patient profiles under pharmacist supervision.
• Verify prescription information before processing and prepare medications accurately.
• Dispense prescriptions to customers, offer counseling provided by a pharmacist, and file prescriptions accordingly.
• Maintain patient profiles and perform billing and insurance eligibility tasks.
• Coordinate with provider offices and insurance companies on Prior Authorizations, claim rejections, and providing copay assistance on behalf of mutual patients.
• Communicate with patients regarding health status, medication compliance, and coordination of care.
• Prepare prescriptions for home delivery and shipment according to pack-out guidelines 
• Ensure accurate delivery processing and quality control.

Requirements

What will you need to succeed?

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service-oriented and highly organized
• Team player
• CPhT license is a plus but not required
