Pharmacy Technician

A&E Pharmacy is looking for a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our team in our Arden Hills office. The Pharmacy Technician will perform functions related to the pharmacy. This role requires professional judgment and extensive technical training. No experience required, we will train you!

The ideal candidate should display exceptional customer service skills and must display compassion and understanding in addition to attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.  

This is a Full-Time position working a rotating schedule including 9am to 5:30pm, 10am to 6:30pm, 11am to 7:30pm and 2 closing shifts of 12:30pm to 9pm as well as every 4th weekend 9am to 5pm.

Starting Pay: $18 / hour

Responsibilities: 

• Prepare prescriptions –  Prepare medication, as prescribed by physicians, under the guidance of the acting Pharmacist. Under the direction of Pharmacists, remove unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepare for return or disposal. Order, receive, and maintain the inventory to maintain tight security at all times. 
• Provide administrative support – Maintain a clean and organized environment, including the pharmacy stock and supply area.  Document orders, prescriptions, purchase orders, stock, and disbursements into the computer system. Generate orders for drugs and supplies with the guidance from the Pharmacist. 

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• National certification preferred but not required
